Rain Uptown Ristorante in Lubbock

Not the best Italian food I've had. It wasn't bad, just not nearly as flavorful as I like.

The brunch breakfast pizza is amazing you have to try it!!! Sausage, bacon, gravy and hash browns on a pizza who knew it could be so delicious.

They honestly lose all care for you once you’re seated. Took forever to get a refill of Dr. Pepper, complaining didn’t have any effect, and overall wasted our time. Even saw some waiters just standing there doing nothing. Don’t give them your money

curly hair bartender was extremely bad at his job. He was drinking in front of us and super lazy.

Negative stars are truly what this place deserves. Honestly the worst service I’ve ever witnessed in a restaurant. I had planned on proposing to my girlfriend tonight. Instead I’m planning on letting everyone in the world know how much this place sucks. I don’t mean to be racist, but there’s really no point in living anymore

Went here for lunch before and it was good. This past weekend me and couple friends came for brunch. We ordered the crepes, pizza, pancake and eggs Benedict. The crepes and eggs Benedict was ok. Not sure if it was just us, but there was a slight stale taste on the hollandaise sauce and that same taste also on the hashbrown. A little disappointed there but the pizza we ordered was amazing!!! The pancakes were also amazing. Hands down one of the best i ever had. Fluffy inside and has that crunch on the outside and buttery. Will definitely come again for the pizza and pancake 😀

Okay, so the server was a sweetie he was new. The pasta was really good. But I found it extremely weird I couldn’t get extra cheese even if I was willing to pay for it ? Didn’t understand that, for the price of yalls food i should be allowed to get more cheese.... then as a previous server, it is absolutely ridiculous to make managers have to override to split a ticket? I was late back to work because the manager was talking and I needed him to split the ticket for the server. The food was good, but I don’t think I’ll be back.

Well if you're looking for good service, this ain't it. They forgot my order, got maybe one refill the whole time I was there. Honestly, I wouldn't piss on this place if it was on fire.

I went on a date here the other night. The food was overpriced. I would rather go to the Cheesecake Factory and get a much more tasty pasta dish for less money. We were missing silverware, and it took 10 minutes for the server to get our drink order. Overall, not impressed :(

Brought my wife to brunch for her birthday, food was outstanding!! Try the nutella french toast and thank me later! This is our new brunch spot without a doubt

Large space with beautiful lighting. Was recently there for lunch. The venue is beautiful and our server went above-and-beyond to accommodate our needs and preferences. The food, however, was quite ordinary. The 'Italian' chili was watery and didnt taste fresh. The sandwich I ordered felt like it was drenched in olive oil. And the sandwich was more bread than filling. Nice to visit once, but wont be back.

I've never been disappointed by the food here but I was not impressed by the dessert. I will not let that stop me from returning though. It's a great, quiet date place, just go somewhere else for dessert!

They get one star only for the drinks and the bread. The waiter gave us the wrong menu to begin with. After ordering from that menu was told that was the lunch menu. Had to ask for the wine menu. I order the seafood risotto which said had shrimp, claims and scallops. When I received the plate it was claims, shrimp with squid and not one scallop When I questioned the waiter he said the chef sometimes put other items it the plate but never let's the customer know it is being changed before ordering.Don't waste your time going here. Really gone down hill since they opened.

This is easily the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Called over to the manager and he wouldn’t even give me the time of day. Now, I’m not usually one for fancy things, but I had a great harvest this year and decided that I deserve this. Worst experience of my life. To call this place fine dining is an insult to both of those words. You’d be better off setting up a table and chairs in the dumpster behind the restaurant. Also, Chuck should be fired.

Rain is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Lubbock. They make all their pasta from scratch except for angel hair pasta. The two times we've dined they had new menu items.I am deducting two stars for this visit because my wife's lasagna was frozen in the middle. They were quick to resolve the issue (reheat it), but they didn't offer any compensation for their mistake. They should've removed the meal from the bill or offered to give us a dessert.

We love eating at Rain! Their food is always great, service is fantastic! Also highly recommend their Persian nights! If you love Mediterranean food you should definitely give it a try!

My wife and I went here on a Friday night a couple weeks ago. Fabulous ambience, great service, and the best lasagna I’ve had. Chocolate cake was delicious too! Will definitely be back.

Good food. They do not do s good job of honoring reservations. We waited 40 minutes past the time that we had a reservation.

Don’t even bother. Service was deplorable and the food was mediocre at best.

If I could have have given a lower score I would have. Made reservations for my daughters graduation dinner. They were under staffed, our reservation was for 6:30, at 8:00 we still had not received our food. They did not bring drinks or refill drinks, they served several other tables that came in and ordered after us. We left at 8:00 when they were unable to tell us how much longer it would be until we received our meals. Very disappointed. This was supposed to be a special evening celebrating my daughters accomplishments, instead it just upset everyone. Don’t waste your time especially if it’s a special occasion you are celebrating don’t take any chances, reserve somewhere else.

Went here on Valentine's Day and it was excellent. I'm not use to upscale restaurants but I can't imagine a better time. Very professional staff, incredible food and service. I don't often write reviews but Rain Uptown deserves the 5-stars. Check it out for yourself

I had booked this restaurant months in advance and heard only good things, so needless to say I was excited to celebrate my graduation dinner here. However, I can honestly say I will never step foot in this establishment again. The service was horrendous and we had to ask several times for someone to come take our drink order. We then waited an hour and a half for our food and it never came because the restaurant was severely understaffed. When we asked to speak to the manager, they never came out and at that point we left. Needless to say, I was extremely dissatisfied with this evening and I will forever have a bad taste in my mouth when I hear the words “rain uptown” again.

Terribly understaffed for a Tech Graduation....reservations at 6:30 and walked out at 8 without eating because we still didn’t have food. Will not be back, especially for a special occasion. Night was ruined!

We went for the Persian dinner and it was absolutely amazing. The dolma was just as good as what I had when I lived in Turkey and the rack of lamb was excellent. Plus it was all priced very well. Im definitely going back the next time they have one

High-end, authentic Italian but not really worth writing home about. The staff was friendly though.

Everything was perfect!! Grad school graduate and I'm so glad we celebrated at Rain! Their limited menu was excellent, it had a good variety for everyone. Each person at the table loved their food. Service was great!! My family from out of town was impressed!! We will be back!!

Disappointed with Sunday brunch. We made a reservation and still were kept waiting, even with empty tables around. Our orders took 30 minutes. Hash browns were barely beige, and undercooked. Asked for English muffins. They came untoasted and unbuttered, straight from the fridge. There was no butter or jam on the table. Every request was excruciatingly slow even though the place wasn't that busy. It spoiled a nice get together with our daughter.

Best Italian food in Lubbock. Love the quiet setting and the staff are incredible.

When I am passing through Lubbock this is one of my favorite stops. Fine dining, quaint bar with live music. Started out with the Escargot drown in garlic parsley butter. Then the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl which consisted of seasoned fresh red ahi tuna, avocado, sesame seed, cucumber, carrot, white rice and artisan greens. Always delicious! Enjoy!

I was really disappointed to be honest. I had really REALLY High expectations for the food given the very high prices. Everything was really lacklustre. And being in Italy, the food there is much more flavorful and might I add way more affordable... Just saying.
